Lamidi Apapa Resolute in Plans to Attend Tribunal this Friday

Lamidi Apapa, the national chairman of the splinter group, adamantly declared his determination to

once again make a forceful entrance into the chambers of the Presidential Petition Tribunal come Friday. As the power struggle between Apapa and Mr. Julius Abure's factions intensified, tensions flared during the court hearing held on a fateful Wednesday.

Unfortunately for both parties, the court had chosen not to recognize either faction, leading to a postponement of the hearing to Friday, May 19. Undeterred by this setback, Apapa made it clear that he would appear before the court on the specified date, highlighting his unwavering stance during a compelling discussion on the Thursday episode of Arise Television's Morning Show.

In an unexpected twist, Apapa went on to accuse the presidential candidate of the party in the upcoming 2023 election, Peter Obi, along with the suspended National Chairman, Julius Abure, of purportedly orchestrating a malicious act of violence against him. He alleged that these individuals had sponsored thugs to physically assault him and forcibly remove him from the premises of the Presidential Petition Tribunal during Wednesday's tumultuous proceedings.

With a firm voice, Apapa asserted that his presence in the courtroom on that day was not merely a personal choice, but rather a responsibility he bore as the genuine acting National Chairman of the party. He emphasized the importance of exercising his authority as the rightful representative of the party, steadfastly carrying out his duties in the face of adversity.
