The PCC of the Labour Party dismisses the leaked audio of Obi and Oyedepo as a "deep fake".

The Labour Party Presidential Campaign Council (LPPCC) has released a statement regarding the alleged leaked audio conversation between its presidential candidate, Mr. Peter Obi, and David

Oyedepo, the Founder of the Living Faith Church worldwide. The LPPCC described the viral video as a ‘deep fake’ and an attempt by the ruling party to remain relevant with the Nigerian public.

The head of Media Obi-Datti Presidential Campaign Council of the Labour Party, Diran Onifade, signed the statement. According to the statement, the viral video is another example of the ruling party's attempt to create drama and religious tension in the country.

The statement went on to say that the ruling party's goal was to demarket Peter Obi, but their attempts have failed miserably. Peter Obi has long been on record as the only presidential candidate who urged the Nigerians electorate not to vote for him on the basis of religion or tribe.

The LPPCC advised the Nigerian people to remain focused on the task at hand, which is to take back the mandate that they know was freely given to Peter Obi and Datti Baba-Ahmed through legitimate means.

The statement also mentioned that the All Progressives Congress' desperation to grab and retain power by foul means has refused to go away more than a month after they grabbed the election. While the LPPCC is toeing the constitutional path to retrieve their mandate, the ruling party has resorted to mischief and endless subterfuge to continue to hold on to what they know does not belong to them.

It is worth noting that in the alleged audio conversations, the voice believed to be that of the LP candidate was heard saying Oyedepo should help him mobilize his members for the election.
