Festus Keyamo, who is the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress (APC)
Presidential Campaign, recently made a statement regarding supporters of Peter Obi, the Presidential Candidate of the Labour Party. These supporters, known as "Obidients," have been the subject of controversy over the past week. Keyamo took to Twitter to express his belief that these supporters are "mentally weak."According to Keyamo, Obi's supporters engaged in
various forms of negative campaigning during the presidential election
campaign. They created memes, skits, and caricatures of opponents, including
those of the APC, without facing any significant response from their targets.
However, after the election, and especially in the past few days, the
supporters have come under criticism and scrutiny from various quarters. This
has apparently caused them to "crack" and behave in an erratic
manner.
Keyamo believes that the "Obidients" are
displaying a "weak mentality" by reacting in such a manner. He
suggests that the more reasonable and patriotic supporters among them should
abandon their misguided allegiance and join hands with the incoming
administration to move the country forward.
It is worth noting that Keyamo's comments have caused
controversy and backlash, with many people criticizing him for insulting an
entire group of people and displaying a lack of tact and professionalism.
