Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Aviation Minister and the Director of New Media of the All Progressives Congress Presidential Campaign Council, has strongly suggested that the
Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, should leave Nigeria and never return. Fani-Kayode made this statement in response to Obi's recent outcry that he was being pressured to leave the country by the ruling APC and some government agencies, who he accused of trying to divert the nation's attention from the infractions that marred the just concluded polls.Obi had also
referenced the leaked audio that had his conversation with the Founder and
Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church, David Oyedepo, and explained that
it was just one example of the various ways in which these infractions were
manifesting. He cited the malicious accusation of the Minister of Information,
Mr Lai Mohammed, the circulation of a fake doctored audio call, and a pressure
on him to leave the country as other examples.
In response
to Obi's outcry, Fani-Kayode took to Twitter on Thursday to express his view
that Obi should leave Nigeria and never come back. He told Obi to do everyone a
favor by leaving as soon as possible, implying that Obi was not wanted in the
country.
