Hiba Abouk, the ex-wife of Paris Saint-Germain defender Achraf Hakimi, has opened up about her
rocky divorce from the footballer in an interview with ELLE. Abouk revealed that she needed time to process the impact of the divorce and the added pressure of Hakimi facing rape charges.Abouk
expressed that the separation process was emotionally complicated, especially
with two children, but it was important for her to have peace of mind by trying
and doing everything she needed to do. She emphasized the need for making
decisions carefully in moments of crisis and not rushing into them.
Despite the
rape charges against her ex-husband, Abouk remained calm about the divorce
situation. It was reported that resolving the settlement may pose difficulties,
as a significant portion of Hakimi's riches is allegedly listed under his
mother's name.
Abouk and
Hakimi share two children together, AmÃn and Naim, aged 3 and 1 respectively.
The couple tied the knot in 2020 after meeting in 2018.
Abouk said
that in addition to the usual pain that comes with separation and accepting the
failure of a family project, she had to face the ignominy of the rape charges against
Hakimi. She needed time to digest the shock and restructure her life.
It is clear
that the divorce has had a significant impact on Abouk, but she remains
determined to move forward and take the necessary steps to ensure her and her
children's well-being.
