Isaac Fayose, the brother of former Ekiti State governor, Ayo Fayose, has offered an
explanation as to why the All Progressives Congress (APC) is disturbed by the loss of the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi. In response to a video that showed Peter Obi being received warmly by Nigerians in the diaspora, Isaac said that the reception given to the former governor of Anambra State made APC assume that he was still campaigning.Isaac
explained that the APC members were perplexed as to why a perceived loser would
receive such treatment for free. He added that they were disturbed that many
people were unbothered about Peter Obi losing the election, and instead of
feeling sorry for him, they were celebrating him.
Isaac Fayose
stated that this was one of the reasons why APC claimed that Peter Obi was
still campaigning. He said that the APC members were wondering what kind of man
Peter Obi was, and how a perceived loser could receive such treatment for free.
According to Isaac, the APC members are not comfortable with the situation, and
are having sleepless nights, saying that Peter Obi is a threat to them and
democracy.
Isaac
questioned how someone going about their normal activities could be a threat to
the APC, and suggested that they were not at rest, and had no peace of mind. He
concluded by saying that the APC members had expected people to feel sorry for
Peter Obi, but instead, the people were hailing him as if he were the champion,
as if he had won the election.
