Empress Njamah, a popular Nollywood star, was aware of her ex-lover George
Wade's arrest before it was publicized on social media. Months earlier, Wade had traumatized Empress by blackmailing her with private photos and videos that he posted on social media. Empress reported the incident to the police and stated that justice would be served when Wade was caught. Recently, she disclosed that Wade had proposed to her under duress, and she had been a victim of scams, physical abuse, and hostage-taking. Wade continued to pose a threat to Empress until his arrest, which was for carrying out similar acts of blackmail on several women, including top Nollywood stars. Liberia's police chief revealed that Wade, whose real name is Nicholas Jack Davis, is a notorious scammer who preys on wealthy women by luring them into romantic relationships and swindling their fortunes. Davis has victimized over twenty females, absconding with their personal belongings and expensive materials.
