Former President Goodluck Jonathan and a host of other notable Nigerians were, on Thursday, 18th November, 2021, honoured in Abuja in recognition of their contributions to the development of the country and humanity at large.
The
event was the 9th edition of TopFlyers Magazine International award, 2021,
which held at Sheraton Hotels, Abuja. The award ceremony is held annually to
honour TopFlyers who are excelling in their chosen careers and impacting lives
positively.
In
his address, the CEO of PYSMACO Ltd, Publishers of TopFlyers Magazine, Mr Musa
Yahaya, said the event was not only to entertain but inspire and motivate
people to keep giving their best to the society.
His
words, "I believe that this event not only entertains but will inspire and
motivate everyone seated here as it is known for in previous years.
"Looking
at the Awardees, made up of handsome young Men, judicious Elder statesmen and
Women, noble Heads of departments, wonderful artistes, distinguished men of the
press, erudite clerics, and all the crème de la crème present in this glamorous
event, I am tremendously delighted to deliver this speech on the occasion of
the 9th edition of Topflyers Magazine International Awards, 2021, and unveiling
of a special edition of Topflyers Magazine International publication.
"Topflyers
Magazine Award of Excellence is an annual event that recognizes outstanding
personalities and brands that have performed extraordinarily well for the
development of our society and human capital empowerment. Tonight, we will
recognize and celebrate distinguished Nigerians with impeccable character and
achievements as well as Nigerian brands within and outside the shores of the
country while impacting their lives and brands positively."
High points of the event were the unveiling of the Special Edition of TopFlyers Magazine and award presentation to the awardees. Those honoured included former President, Dr Goodluck Jonathan, who bagged the AFRICAN DEMOCRACY ICON award; Governors Nysom Wike (Best-Scored Governor Of The year); Mai Mala Buni (Most Promising Governor of The Year); Abdullahi Umar Ganduje (Governor of the Year); Rt.Hon. Rotimi Amaechi (Best-Scored Minister of the Year); Best scored First Lady of the year, Mrs Rashidat Yahaya Bello (Kogi), and many others.
