Benin City was agog
with joy on Saturday November 28, 2020 when Ebele Akah and Ifeajoele John walked
down the aisle.
The traditional marriage
ceremony of the two love birds held at the bride’s family compound, 13 Osakue,
Off Namayo, Upper Sakponba Road, Benin City, Edo State was a cynosure of all
eyes especially for some single brothers and sisters who wished they were the
ones in such a visible-to-the-blind love.
The occasion
graced by royalties, clergymen and women, Chief Executive Officers of different
companies and institutes and distinguished members of staff of the United Bank of
Africa (UBA) from its onset to dusk was serene, good-humored, flamboyant and fascinating.
The curiosity of
the audience rose to its peak when the Master of Ceremony (MC) asked the groom,
John to carry his bride, Ebele with his hands from the ceremonial ground back
to the dressing room. Skeptical Ebele, afraid she would fall or that her “world”
would not be able to carry her assumed plus-size was shocked when after her
much reluctance of being carried was lifted into the house by John like a wrestler
carrying an ordinary bag of water.
It was overly
easy for John. Perhaps love was his energy because, left to the bride, physical
strength might have failed her crown in such a public task.
In an interview
with TOPFLYERS MAGAZINE INTERNATIONAL, John avowed that he felt fulfilled marrying
his better-half. He noted that he met her in the bank and that although she
gave him a little tough time while he was wooing her, he was happy she said “yes”
to his supersonic marriage proposal in a Sunday service at Grace Liberation
Ministries, Benin City.
The elated groom
added, “I am happy my wife said yes to me. I am proud of her and my in-laws. She
is the best thing that has ever happened to me and I promise to cherish her forever”.
Ebele Akah is
the elder sister to Model Kume Akah, the current TOPFLYERS MAGAZINE
INTERNATIONAL MISS FASHION AND CLEAN ENVIRONMENT.
