The Edo State government in collaboration with the Insured Good People (IGP) organization and the All Progressive Party (APC), Oghieka Zone, Benin City, Edo State has randomly distributed bags (10kg) of rice and beans as palliatives to over one hundred Edo State residents.
The president of IGP,
Comrade Edefe Osagie J. P noted that the bags of rice and beans were courtesy
of the wake-and-see governor, Godwin Obaseki to help cushion the effect of the
COVID-19 pandemic in the state.
Comrade Osagie added
that the bags of rice and beans were just a little percentage among the
innumerable and elephant palliatives the wake-and-see-governor has distributed
to thousands of Edo State people.
He further enjoined Edo
State residents to unanimously support the re-election of Obaseki as the
governor remains the best choice for the people based on the many economic,
technological, educational, religious, and environmental strides he has
recorded in the current tenure.
Expressing gratitude to the assistant secretary of APC, Oghieka Zone, Mr. Collins Akpofure
hailed the governor for his humane gesture while revealing that the governor
has promised more palliatives for those who the palliatives have not reached.
In addition to that,
many Edo State citizens in an interview with Topflyers Magazine revealed that
they were very excited to receive the palliatives as such measures showed the
governor’s compassionate heart as well as how promising his second tenure would
be.
Some of the
beneficiaries also hailed the IGP president for his objective distribution of
the palliatives as they fervently prayed to God to continually bless governor
Obaseki.
