Mr. Omorohwovo Efemena Riches also known as “Florichie” (AceKing)
is a musician and artiste (Singer, Song Writer, Rapper, Professional Drummer,
Producer and DJ). He hails from Delta State, Ughelli North, Nigeria to be
precise. He is a graduate of the University of Benin and he studied
Entrepreneurship. In this exclusive interview with Topflyers magazine, he
speaks about his career and pathway to stardom.
What kind of Music do you
do?
Well the best way to explain my music is that it is "Message
based". I get inspirations from probably how I feel at a particular moment
and just begin to write. I make sure it has a message that people can relate to
whether emotionally, motivation-wise, biblically or even in a funny way...I'm
just concerned about not only giving vibes but also sending a messages.
What is unique about what you do?
My voice and the way I compose songs is very unique so I guess
that should add too (smiles).
Do you really like this job
or the economy of the country pushed you to it?
Music is like my Life. It is what gives me happiness. I basically
enjoy making music to other fun related stuff. That is how much I am connected
to music.
How long have you been into
the music industry?
I have been singing since a little age but I started music
professionally about 2 years ago way back in school.
As an upcoming Star in the industry, what is your strategy to
surpassing those who are already there?
I don't have the mindset of surpassing anybody. All I am just
concerned about is being heard too. I also want to make positive impacts in the
industry with my music and sound like others are doing with theirs. The sky is
way too big for everyone to fly.
Do you have a role model in
the Entertainment Industry?
(Laughs) I have many role models for different reasons. For
example, I love Davido for the fact that he appreciates and tries as much as possible
to bring up young talents into stardom. I also love Don Jazzy and Olamide for
allowing artistes express themselves the best way they can with their music.
These are things I look forward to doing later in the future when I get there.
The goal is to make positive impacts that would not be forgotten in a rush.
Even going down international artists, I really love Kendrick Lamar, J Cole, NF
and many others. I appreciate every one of them for their different sounds and
approach to music.
How do you feel being the Topflyers
Magazine International, Entertainer of the Month (May Edition)?
I feel so good. It is a huge honour to be in TopFlyers Magazine International
and I want to thank the brand for this wonderful concept and this amazing
opportunity. I am more than grateful for this. From the depth of my heart, I

Are you signed to any label
or you have an independent sponsor?
I am not signed to any label yet and I do not have an independent
sponsor yet. I am still pushing my music myself and with the help of few of my
friends.
What is your thought about
the Nigerian Entertainment Industry?
The Nigerian music industry is really evolving and growing with
new trends and concepts. The rise of young artistes like Fireboy, Joeboy,
Oxlade, Ckay, Bella Shmurda, Rema, Blaqbones and many others has made music what
gives me true happiness. They have really reignited that dim light that any
promising young artiste can break into the music industry with your sound, if
you keep pushing and pressing regardless of how things are at the moment.
Asides that, the bars has also been raised in the music industry that has
pushed people to go deeper into building themselves really well and rebranding
constantly to be able to bring out quality sound and music. The respect and
level of admiration for the Nigerian music industry keeps growing on a daily
basis.
Where do you intend to be
in the next 5years?
This is really bigger than a dream. It is more like a vision. I
see myself on different stages (both home and abroad) and on television doing
what I love the most of course. I also see myself making music with top
artistes in the industry.
The Goal in Life is to make myself heard through music. I want the
world to hear the message I have for them through music and I want to be a
change the world needs. I want to leave a mark on earth through music and I
also hope to affect lives positively the best way I can.

What message do you have
for your fans and youths out there?
To my fans, I will say thank you very much for your support and
your words of encouragement to me every now and then. That is what keeps me
going and I pray God continually blesses all your handiwork and heart desires. To
other music artistes like me on the path to limelight and stardom, I will say
you should keep pushing no matter how bad things might be now. Attaining the
vision is all that matters and do not relent until you get there. The tables
would turn one day and all the struggles would be like nothing then.
What is your thought

to stardom?
TopFlyers Magazine International is an amazing platform. I really
appreciate the organizers behind this platform for helping young and promising
artistes get known by the world. Please keep up the good work and may God
