....Re-Instates Obaseki Will Not Bow To Godfatherism

The president of the Insured Good People (IGP) organization of Nigeria, Mr. Edefe Osagie J. P has re-instated that the wake-and-see governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki remains the only objective, pragmatic, accountable, resolute, transparent and selfless Edo Gubernational aspirant, 2020 who will not bow down to godfatherism.

Osagie said this while addressing the press on Sunday sequel to his meeting with the executives of IGP national headquarters at 12, Jemide Drive, Off-Goodwill, Benin City, Edo State.

The president added that all shenanigans by the opposition party of the state, emphatically the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) as well as the Edo Progressive Movement (EPM) faction of APC to stop the divinely ordained come back of Obaseki as Edo State governor would only yield futile results.

He added that the elephant-fight between Obaseki and the National Chairman of the APC, Adams Oshiomhole can, and would only best be resolved if Oshiomhole recognizes that the era of Godfatherism has gone extinct in Edo State and that no threat, pressure, force or intimidation will make the incumbent governor bow to godfatherism.

According to the president, “Obaseki remains the only objective, pragmatic, resolute, and selfless Edo Gubernational aspirant, 2020. His traits as a governor are rare. He loves his people; he is accommodating, compassionate, intelligent, accountable, transparent, and emotionally stable.

“The only problem some of his so-called opposition and the Edo Progressive Movement (EPM) faction of APC have with our wake-and-see governor is that he has refused to be god-fathered and does not share the treasury of Edo State to touts and agberos just like some of his predecessors did.

“Our incumbent and incoming governor detests godfatherism and the only way the issue between him and Oshiomhole which he is sure to win can only be resolved when Oshiomhole recognizes that the era of godfatherism has come to an end in Edo State and no threat, pressure, force or intimidation will make the governor bow to godfatherism.”

IGP is a registered non-governmental organization that fights against molestation, abuse and assault. It seeks to promote peace building, peace keeping, conflict resolution, human rights awareness and the general well-being of Nigeria.
