The Insured Good People (IGP) Organization has declared special prayers
for the wake-and-see governor, Godwin Obaseki sequel to his self-isolation after
contact with the Bauchi State Governor, Bala Muhammed and Chief of Staff to the
President, Abba Kyari, who have both tested positive to Coronavirus.
In a statement by the president of IGP, Mr. Edefe Osagie J. P., he
disputed all rumours that the governor has tested positive to Covid 19 and asserted
that in their different confines today, all IGP members are to fervently pray
for God’s immunization of Obaseki against the virus.
He added that although IGP is certain the governor would test negative
to the dreaded Corona Virus, the prayer is meant to appreciate God for saving
the governor from the virus and as well ask for God’s immunization of Edo
residents from the virus.
Osagie said that although
Obaseki is not showing any symptoms of the virus, he has taken the necessary
precaution to self-isolate to protect people that may otherwise come in contact
with him and that all rumours that the governor has contracted the virus were
false.
He added that such rumours were from the opposition
parties but that God will not allow the virus inflict the people’s governor.
“All Insured Good People (iGP) Organization members
are to pray for our governor that he would not test positive to Corona Virus.
The prayer should be fervent and done in the different confines of all IGP
members.
“I must not fail to add that all rumours that the
governor has tested positive to the virus are from the pit of hell and the
opposition parties.
“We are sure our governor would test negative to the
virus but just want to thank God for His love towards the governor as well pray
for His immunization of Edo residents against the virus”, the statement read.
Corona Virus is real.
