HRM Queen Olivia Unveils Project "SHE" for the Africans

HRM, Queen Olivia Thomas Omon Oleabhiele

HRM Queen Olivia Thomas Omon Oleabhiele hails from Uromi in Esan North East Local Government Area, Edo State, Nigeria. She is a bachelor degree holder in medical laboratory science from Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, Edo State. In this exclusive interview with Topflyers Magazine team, she sheds light on her journey to stardom.

WHAT KIND OF MODELING DO YOU DO AND HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MODELING?

I do pageantry, runway and editorials.  I have been in modeling since I was 14. My elder sister introduced me to it, she wanted to be a model and an actress, so then I always follow her for her castings. And on many occasions the people in charge make interest in me and put me in as well, so that was how it all started.

YOU PARTICIPATED IN FACE OF TOPFLYERS MAGAZINE PAGEANT AND YOU WON THE NUMBER ONE POSITION AS FACE OF TOPFLYERS MAGAZINE PAGEANT 2019/2020. HOW DID YOU FEEL?

Well, I put in so much work. The result of my input was the crown. I have never put in so much effort in a pageant before, this one was really hard for me, at some point I wanted to quit. But I said to myself if I quit now, and I see someone else win it would be my fault because I quitted. I was not ready to see that happen, that was what just kept me going.
At the point of calling the winner everyone was shouting Number 18, I was number 18. I was overwhelmed, I could not contain it. It was like the crowd came for me. It was a great feeling to be honest.

HOW WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE IN CAMP?

I was very quiet in camp because I came 2 days late to the camp. I was the last to arrive there, but on my arrival it was like the whole contestants wanted to see me. They always say "oh this is the girl with the highest vote, we have been waiting for you" I was super shocked (laughs) but the whole camp was nice. I wasn't stressed only the late nights was challenging and my two roommates were very comfortable and special, they were the best I could ever have had in the pageant.

WHAT DO YOU INTEND TO DO DIFFERENTLY TO SURPASS PAST QUEENS YOU TOOK OVER FROM?

Wining a crown is a duty not just a glory. I intend to fulfill those duties to the best of my ability. I am not in competition with my predecessors. I just want to do what is right and fulfill the purpose of the crown and let God take over.

TELL US ABOUT YOUR PET PROJECT FOR THE YEAR 2020 AND WHAT EXTENT YOU INTEND TO TAKE IT TO?

I titled my pet project “SHE”. It is all about the girl child. It touches three areas of concentration, education, entrepreneurship and awareness against cervical cancer. I called it PROJECT SHE AFRICA because I intend to cut across my nation Nigeria to her sister countries in the Africa continent. I cannot do this alone; this is why I would need the support of the masses to make a change in the lives of the girl child.

WHAT IS YOUR CHALLENGE REGARDING YOUR PET PROJECT.

I think finance is the challenge. I have the drive and the determination and the only limitation I see is finance which I hope to overcome.

HOW DO YOU INTEND TO MANAGE THIS MONEY WHEN YOU HAVE SPONSORS FOR YOUR PET PROJECT?

I would do according to the money raised for the pet project; trust me I always got an A in accounting subject while in school. So scale of preference would be applied accordingly.

GETTING AN “A” IN YOUR ACCOUNTING SUBJECT, DOES IT QUARANTINE TRANSPARENCY?
For me, it is a yes.

WHERE DO YOU HOPE TO BE IN THE NEXT 5 YEARS?

I hope to be a business mogul, and a married woman.

WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT FACE OF TOPFLYERS MAGAZINE PAGEANT?

It is the content they have which is the magazine. They have a product to sell with percentages. It is different from other pageants.

WHAT MESSAGE DO YOU HAVE FOR YOUR FANS WHO WANTS TO BE LIKE YOU?

A lot of girls meet me to coach them for pageantry. And they always come out top. My message to them is to have a good mentor if they want to be like me, I have many mentors in and outside the country, prominent of which are Coach Naya CEO of Pageant Studio Africa and Coach Ada who resides in London and former MBGN Queen. I learn a lot from them and I am grateful for their impacts in my life. Again, I advise they should never give up on their dreams and goals.

HOW DO YOU RELAX?

I relax by sleeping. If something stresses me, I leave it immediately and I do series of vacation just to be alone with myself. I really love being alone; I do not play with it.

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEAL AND COLOUR?

I really love pounded yam and Egusi soup/Eforiro but a lot of people thinks its Indomie or Rice (laughs). My favourite color is Blue. It speaks strength, power, authority, peace etc. As you can see, the sky and the sea are Blue. I am not really good at explaining blue but I really just love that color.

WHAT IS THAT ONE THING YOU CAN NOT DO TO SURVIVE THIS LIFE?

When you say one thing you cannot do to survive this life, the only thing that comes to my mind is to deny my faith in God with the option to live. Well you will have to kill me first.
