Uzoma Cynthia Maryan Chiamaka hails from Imo state in Njaba LGA,
Nigeria. She is an OND Holder in Public Administration from the polytechnic of
Ibadan, Nigeria. She is a professional fashion runway model, commercial and a
beauty Queen. She has been on this profession for the past five 5 years until
recently where she won Ambassador for Anti-Human trafficking, Topflyers
Magazine 2019/2020. In this exclusive interview with Topflyers magazine team,
she sheds light on her journey and pet project.
HOW DID YOU FEEL WHEN YOU
PARTICIPATED IN FACE OF TOPFLYERS MAGAZINE PAGEANT AND WON THE POSITION OF
AMBASSADOR FOR ANTI HUMAN TRAFFICKING?
I felt very happy and honoured
because my position as ambassador for anti-human trafficking is an inspiration
to my life and that of other young girls out there.
WHAT WAS YOUR EXPERIENCE IN
CAMP?
The camp was very stressful,
and fun too, but it was all worth it.
CAN YOU SHARE WITH US YOUR
PET PROJECT FOR THE YEAR 2020 AND WHAT EXTENT YOU INTEND TO TAKE IT TO?
My pet project is to fight
against human trafficking and sexual violence of the girl child. I want to
educate and inspire young ladies to protect themselves and not to be vulnerable
to the extent of being trafficked without their knowledge. Also, I want to open
a foundation for the girl child.
DO YOU HAVE ANY CHALLENGE
REGARDING YOUR PET PROJECT?
My challenge regarding my
pet project is having sponsors who will help me in this campaign financially,
trying to get all the manpower I need to make my duty a successful one is not
an easy task for me as I intend to cover 5 states, Lagos, Imo, Edo, Abuja and
Rivers state respectively.
IF YOUR CHALLENGE IS MONEY,
HOW DO YOU INTEND TO MANAGE IT WHEN YOU HAVE SPONSORS FOR YOUR PET PROJECT?
I will channel the funds
into the pet project because as ambassador for anti-human trafficking, I need
lots of funds to function as I will be visiting most girls’ secondary schools
across the states and also sharing many consolation gifts to them. It is a
privilege to be a girl child.
WHERE DO YOU HOPE TO BE IN
THE NEXT 5 YEARS?
I hope to be a successful
pageant queen who works with government officials to fight for the girl-child
with other crowns, a business woman and I am intending on getting married by
then.
WHAT IS UNIQUE ABOUT FACE OF
TOPFLYERS MAGAZINE PAGEANT?
The unique thing I love
about Topflyers pageant is the CEO. I have a never relenting boss who believes
you can be all you want to be if you have the passion and he is ever ready to
support you. Pageant is just there but when the management is not functional,
you will not go far.
HOW DO YOU RELAX?
I relax with my love ones
and enjoy movies, or go out to get ice cream (cold stone) winks!!!
WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE MEAL AND COLOUR?
My favorite meal is
breadfruit (ukwa in igbo) and fried rice with juice added to it o and I love
black colour.
WHAT ARE THE THINGS YOU CAN
NOT DO TO SURVIVE THIS LIFE?
One thing I cannot do to
survive is prostitution, drug dealing,
human trafficking because it ruins a lot
of people’s life even when people think there is so much easy money to make
from it, but forgotten that the future of our young girls and men are being
wasted there. It is a no for me and I cannot survive with such.

YOUR FANS WHO ASPIRE TO BE LIKE YOU
My dearest fans, I love you
all If you want to be like me keep believing in yourself, never give up because
it is not easy, you have the ability to be creative and always ready to take
risks too. As the adage goes, “what is
worth doing is worth doing well”.
