Model Annie C. Love, also known as Lovely Love,
hails from Delta state. She is a graduate of one of the prestigious
Universities in Nigeria, the University of Benin, Benin – City, Edo state,
where she acquired Bachelor of Science Degree in Social Work. She shed her
experience with Top Flyers magazine on her emergence as the winner of FACE of
Top Flyers Beauty Pageant 2015/2016
What
was your motivation for modeling?
What motivated me to go into modeling is the fact
that I love helping others and love to be a role model, influencing people
positively. Modeling gives the platform to be a role model, help others and
contribute positively to the society.
You
are the FACE of top flyers magazine, how do you feel being the reigning queen.
I feel happy, privileged and opportune, as I see my
office as a platform to promote social change, development, social cohesion,
empowerment and assisting people through advocacy and charity work.
What
would have being your reaction if you had not won?
If I had not won, I would have reacted in a way that
demonstrates the spirit of sportsmanship and I wouldn’t give up but try some
other pageant.
Any
parental support
Yes, I have the support of my mother who has always
been there, a source of inspiration and motivation.
What
were your challenges?
People trying to discourage you because of the
negative impression they have about beauty pageant.
How
did you feel being in a competition with your co – contestants while in camp?
I felt excited and optimistic that it was going to
be fun. Yes, it’s true we are in a competition, but it isn’t and shouldn’t be a
do or die affair as life doesn’t end there. Having to live with people of
different backgrounds and upbringing was a wonderful opportunity of getting to
know each other better, to learn from them while they learn from me.
How
many times have you contested before winning this very one?
I’ve contested four (4) times which includes, Face
of Tinubu Hall Uniben, where I came out as best traditional costume. Most
beautiful girl in Uniben, auditioned for Miss United Nation Nigeria which I didn’t
pull through and finally Miss Ambassador for Peace Nigeria 2015/2016, where I
represented Sokoto state which was barely two months before I won this very
one.
How
have you been coping in the modeling world considering the average Nigerian’s negative
attitude for beauty pageant?
I’ve been coping very well. I convince people by
trying to be of good character, educate them to focus more on the positive side
of modeling and letting them know that in modeling, making the right or wrong
decisions is a personal thing depending on what the person wants.
What
are your hobbies?
I love Reading, helping people to help themselves
(Social Work), meditating, listening to music and watching movies.
What
is your advice to other contestants?
They should never give
up.
What
is your favorite meal and how do you relax?
I love Rice and cabbage sauce. I relax by listening
to music, watching movies, chat up friends and browse through the internet for
information.
