I USE MY JOB AS A MEDIUM OF EVANGELISM.

I USE MY JOB AS A MEDIUM OF EVANGELISM
Chief (mrs) Ngozi Ezeonu, a trained journalist who hails from Ogbunike in Oyi Local Govt Area of Anambra State.

She is one of the foremost Nollywood super stars that have contributed to the growth of the movie industry way back in‘Nneka the pretty serpent’ and today she is a house hold name. In this exclusive interview with Flies magazine, she shares her secret of being consistent.
How did you start your career in acting?
I started what I am doing today out of adventure. Though, Zeb Ejiro gave me my first major role in Nneka the pretty serpent.
How is your love for camera?
I really love being in front of the cameras even though I am a very shy person. (I am fighting it though) (laughs). Being in front of cameras comes with a lot of responsibilities.
Everybody is watching especially children. They see you as a role model. They want to do what you do. They want to dress the way you do etc.
Any Parental support in your career so far?
My father gave me his blessings but my mother did not until seven years ago. Both of them are late now. May God grant them eternal rest.
What are your challenges so far ?
Initially it was not easy playing some other people (laughs). The one that took a lot off me then was playing a 70 year old woman when I was not even 30.
How did you get to the level you are today in the midst of competitions?
It is just the grace of God that has brought me this far. Secondly, I am still ready to learn. Patience and humility also played a major role.
How many movies have you acted in so far?
I have acted in a lot of movies. I have not produced any yet. For the titles, please help me out.......they are so many that I can not count
How do you cope with fame?
I am so grateful to God. I am able to cope with fame because of the kind of person I am. I don't let anything get into my head. Rather I see the fame as responsibility because you have to be what you teach. Moreover, I use my job as a medium of evangelism.
What are your hobbies?
I love music, reading and sleeping. That last one is funny but I love to sleep when I am not working.
Do you have any word of advice for the up and coming actors?
I always advise them to be patient. They should not be desperate or in a hurry to be stars. With hard work and God, they will make it. The truth is that stardom is easy but the difficult part of it is maintaining it.
Any word of note for Flies magazine?
I pray Flies magazine never fades away. May it grow from strength to strength. Thanks
